2020 Entegra RV

This is our answer to the 2020 Covid-19 Pandemic.  In this tumultuous year, there has been a lot of suffering and devastation for a lot of people.  We are very fortunate that we aren’t in that category.  We have been very blessed, and to be honest, the biggest problem we’ve had to face was boredom.

That said, a lot of things have changed.  Lockdowns, businesses and restaurants closed, masks, social distancing, etc. have taken a toll on all of us.   Normally, we travel from Phoenix to Michigan in the summer and get to enjoy the cooler weather.  We did manage to get to Michigan later than normal in 2020, but travel is definitely more difficult.  Also, I’m not sure how soon we’ll be willing to start flying commercially again.

Because of that, my wife and I discussed the idea of buying an RV.  Previously, we had the Freightliner, which was a wonderful RV.  It was beautiful, with lots of room and we really enjoyed it.  Unfortunately, it was huge.  It’s difficult to take into normal situations, and my wife wasn’t really comfortable driving it.

We went in December, 2020 to start researching RV’s.  If you know me at all, you won’t be surprised that we bought one on the spot.  We were really interested in getting something that would be comfortable driving down the road.  While I’m driving, she can sit in the living room and watch TV or lie down in the bedroom, watch TV or take a nap.  Best of all, it’s not so big that we can’t take everywhere without hassle.  She is very comfortable driving it and it’s much easier than the Freightliner was.

Our plan is to make a lot of side-trips in it.  We’ve already taken a few small trips breaking it in, but we plan to go from Arizona to Michigan via Florida this summer.  When we come back, we plan on coming back to Arizona via the Dakotas and the Pacific Northwest.  We are really looking forward to lots of trips – some big and some little.  I think this will be a great thing for us
