I had a couple of reasons for owning this truck.  When I first started collecting cars, I also bought an open car trailer so I could start trailering some of my cars to car shows.  Unfortunately, I only had a small SUV at the time and it wasn’t really designed to haul a car trailer.  Going back and forth from Arizona to California could be a real challenge with all the wind and blowing on the expressway.

I decided that I needed something heavier to pull a trailer.  We were also living out in the middle of the desert at the time – about a mile down a dirt road.  After we would have a bad rain, the roads would get torn up and we had to traverse several washes that would flow like the Mississippi for a couple hours.  I bought the truck to make sure that not only could I haul my cars around, but we could get home in bad weather.

The truck was a workhorse and pulled the enclosed trailer I bought afterward with no problems whatsoever.  I barely noticed that I was pulling something down the road.  It served well for a long time.   If you look close, you can see the RVR logo on the side.
